These terms cover this website, getslowcoach.com, which is operated by Simon Minton, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Using the site means you accept them. Separate terms will come with the app when it is released.
What the site does
It describes a product that does not exist yet, it will say your name out loud if you give it one, and it will hold your email address so you can be told when the app is available. That is the whole service. It is provided free and without any commitment that it will keep running, keep its current shape, or exist at all next year.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist is not a purchase, a pre-order, a reservation or a promise of access. No price has been set and no payment is taken. You will get one email if and when the app is released. You can be removed at any time by writing to hello@getslowcoach.com, and the privacy page says what is held and for how long.
What is being described is not yet available
Everything on the front page describes the intended behaviour of an app that is in development for iPhone. Features described may change, be delayed, or be dropped. Nothing on this site is a contractual specification, and no release date is being given.
This is not medical advice
Slowcoach is a coaching product, not a clinical one. Nothing on this site or in the app is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment plan, and neither the site nor the app is a medical device. Running and dieting carry real physical risk. If you have a heart condition, an injury, a pregnancy, an eating disorder, or any reason at all to check first, speak to a doctor or another qualified professional before you start, and stop if something hurts. You take part in physical exercise at your own risk.
Fair use
The name endpoint and the waitlist endpoint are rate limited per address. Do not attempt to exhaust them, script them, scrape the site, or submit anybody else’s email address. Do not submit a name that is abusive or that is not intended as a name; the greeting is synthesised on demand and it will simply say whatever it is given.
Intellectual property
The text, design, the mark and the name “Slowcoach” belong to Simon Minton. The three typefaces used here — Alegreya Sans, Public Sans and IBM Plex Mono — are used under the SIL Open Font Licence and belong to their respective authors.
Liability
The site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from using it or from relying on anything said on it. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The date at the top will change when they are.
